Royal Seal Of Approval
HER Royal Highness the Princess Royal gave her seal of approval to a new memorial in the grounds of Norwich Cathedral when she laid a wreath in July, 2021, to the memory of the 97 soldiers who lost their lives at Le Paradis.
The Princess met Le Paradis Memorial Appeal trustees and members of Le Paradis Commemoration Group along with supporters and a service of dedication was led by the Dean of Norwich Cathedral the Very Rev Jane Hedges and supported by members of the Cathedral choir.
In the photograph above the Princess Royal meets Memorial Appeal Trustee Brigadier Max Mariner and Philip Curson. Philip is the son of Serjeant Williams Curson who died in the massacre. Immediately below is Philip Curson (second from left) with members of the Le Paradis Commemoration Group (left to right) - John Head, Dennis O'Callaghan and Peter Steward.
